Advent Lutheran School is led by Pastor and Headmaster Aaron Schultz. Pastor Schultz is an experienced educator with over 14 years as a teacher and principal in Lutheran schools.
With Pastor Aaron Schultz leading our school expansion efforts, Advent will be offering Preschool through Sixth Grade for the 2023-2024 School Year, adding a grade each year. Please contact Pastor Schultz with any questions using the form below or via phone at 317-733-5679.
History
of Advent
Advent Lutheran Church was founded in November 1994 with the building completed in May of 1997. Advent Lutheran Preschool began in 2000 with a 3s and 4s class, then added the half-day Kindergarten in 2013. Under Mrs. Trewartha’s direction, the MMO, Preschool and Kindergarten programs have become pillars in Zionsville for quality Early Childhood Education.
Though it had been considered in previous years, the Church began considering building an elementary school in earnest in 2020. In early 2021 a school expansion committee formed and began meeting regularly. By January 2022 a candidate, Pastor Aaron Schultz, had been identified to become the school’s first Headmaster. He was called by the Church to the role of Associate Pastor and Headmaster in April 2022.
Pastor Schultz’s extensive experience as a teacher in classical Lutheran schools led the board to agree and support the making of Advent a Classical Christian school. Advent Lutheran Classical School opened its doors in August 2022 with 1st and 2nd grade.
For 2023-2024, ALCS will offer 1st through 6th grade. We intend to add one grade each year thereafter until 8th grade. With the support and generosity of Advent Lutheran Church, we hope to expand our building by 30,000 sqft in the coming years. Details on the Capital Campaign for Phase 3 of the building project coming soon.
