Advent Evangelical Lutheran Church is a confessional Lutheran Church of the Missouri Synod (LC-MS).

We accept Scripture as the inspired and inerrant Word of God.
We are a sacramental church, believing the promise God attaches to Baptism and Holy Communion. We worship with reverence, singing praises to God for what He does for us, not what we do for Him.

ABOUT ADVENT LUTHERAN CHURCH
Our congregation, by the grace of God, seeks to remain faithful to the fullness of God’s Word and to the doctrines and teachings that Lutheranism has cherished and confessed for hundreds of years. To that end we are an evangelistic congregation – a congregation that places the free and unmerited forgiveness of sins at the heart of all that we do and at the center of all our relationships with each other.

Advent is a sacramental church that believes the promises that God provides through baptism and holy communion. We worship with reverence, not entertainment. We sing praises to God for what He does for us, not what we do for Him.

Advent is a pardoning church.  Our goal is to bring the peace of God to the souls of troubled consciences, for we are all sinful and fall short of the glory of God. We rejoice that God has justified us freely through the redemption that has come to us through Jesus Christ.

Advent is a liberating church.  We believe the goal of our faith must be freedom  from guilt and fear;  freedom to choose what is good and right and true in life and to reject what is wrong and harmful to body and soul. The greatest liberation of all is what we anticipate will come upon the last day, when our Lord returns and gives to us and all believers in Christ the gift of eternal life.

Please join us in fellowship and explore what we have to offer!

“Taste and see that the Lord is good.” Psalm 34:8
