Sunday School and Vacation Bible School

Our Sunday school is designed for the Christian education of our children ages 3 and up, every Sunday at 9:30 AM. Those in preschool through second grade meet in the church library for an opening period of music.  Grades three through six meet in the downstairs commons and the seventh through twelfth grades go to their respective classrooms downstairs.  We welcome all children but ask that you please speak to their teacher when first enrolling so the teacher may know you too.

If you wish to be involved with the Sunday School program please call the church office at 317.873.6318.  For more information regarding Vacation Bible School, see EVENTS.

New Member Instruction

In fulfillment of the Great Commission by Christ to go, baptize and teach, Advent offers instruction for adults in the foundational teachings of Christianity. Our Faith Formation class prepares a person for unity with the people of Advent in the teachings of Christ, which is a condition of membership.  This class is also a great refresher for anyone wishing to review our Lutheran Confessions and what we believe.
If you or someone you know might be interested in attending the next installment of the class, contact the office at 317.875.6318..

Youth Instruction

Advent offers confirmation and youth instruction for middle and high school students. Special classes to meet the needs of these students occur on Sunday‚Äôs in the Youth Room at 9:30 am.  Other fellowship and service opportunities are scheduled throughout the year.

Confirmation Instruction

For 7th and 8th grade students, Confirmation Instruction begins each September.  During this program, youth are taught the theology of the Bible and Luther’s Catechism so that it is understood and used as a valuable tool for Christian faith and daily life.  Students are also enriched in the faith with experiences that broaden their knowledge and abilities to confess and apply their faith.Small - Confirmaton Class 2014
