The Board of Trustees shall:

 

1.  Administer and maintain the physical facilities and associated equipment of the congregation, carrying on a comprehensive program to ensure proper maintenance and repair.

 

2.     Employ maintenance personnel, prescribe their duties, and supervise their work.

 

3.  Plan for the improvement and extension of facilities as required to support the long range program of the congregation and execute such facilities maintenance and improvement measures as are provided by the annual budget.

  

4.  Administer an insurance program to provide prudent coverage of church properties and congregational liabilities.

 

5.  In case of emergency, have authority to spend up to $500.00 without special Church Council or Voters Assembly authorization (for a single project) beyond the budget.

 

6. Maintain the record copies of all agreements, documents and instruments having a legal nature in a secure location (i.e., a lockbox at a bank).
